Source: Crawfordsville Weekly Journal Friday 31 July 1896

A.E. Eastlack was called to Terre Haute yesterday morning by a telegram from his daughter announcing the death of her husband, Harry Hewitt. Arrangements for the funeral are not yet completed. The Terre Haute Express has the following: “Harry Hewitt, aged 27, an employee of the street railway company, died suddenly at about 2 o’clock this morning at his home at 1408 South Seventh Street. Although the coroner was called, it is thought Hewitt’s death was due to natural causes. Dr. Mattox, who was called in, gave it as his opinion that Hewitt died of heart disease.”
